'Beauty can be seen in all things, seeing and composing the beauty is what separates the snapshot from the photograph'
I first came across documentary photography on a visit to London when I stumbled across an exhibition by the now legendary photojournalist Don McCullin. It was like peeling back the curtains to reveal a whole new way of seeing the world. Beauty and tragedy all in one, it was like classic opera.
I look for authenticity and honesty in my work, classic in nature, devoid of time. I am drawn to natural organic stories. There is beauty in everything, even the seemingly very ordinary.
On a wedding day I am looking for those fleeting moments, time capsules of love and emotion. Observing as the sparkle of magic ignites and your long journey together begins.
Magic !
